Price first
The usual winner profile

When we can observe the winning offer, the dominant pattern is a lower landed price — frequently a self-shipped offer undercutting an FBA seller by a margin small enough to fix.

What this means for you

Losing the Buy Box is rarely mysterious: price, delivery method, stock, or a broken listing — in that order of frequency. The practical implication of the data is that most losses are recoverable for a few percent of price, and that sellers with FBA often hold a delivery advantage that lets them win the box back at less than a full price match. The four reasons and the 2-minute self-check are on Why did I lose the Buy Box?

Method

Hourly Buy-Box observations for products of active seller accounts on AIAdKing (primarily amazon.in), last 30 days to July 16, 2026: 14,762 checks. "Lost" means the account's offer was not the featured offer at check time. Winner characteristics come from the offer data Amazon exposes at observation time (landed price, fulfilment method); Amazon does not publish its ranking internals, so winner profiles are observational, not causal claims. As coverage grows, this page will publish the full loss-reason distribution computed by our diagnosis engine. Cite as: "AIAdKing Buy-Box check data, July 2026".
