How do you calculate Amazon profit per unit?
Net profit per unit = selling price − product cost − Amazon fees − ad spend per unit. Whatever remains after the cost to make the item, the fees Amazon takes and the advertising behind the sale is your real profit. Divide that by price for margin, or by your total cost for ROI. This calculator does all three instantly.

Browser-only — nothing is sent or stored. Margin = profit ÷ price; ROI = profit ÷ (cost + fees + ads).
What quietly eats your Amazon profit
A back-of-envelope "price minus cost" almost always overstates profit. These are the costs sellers most often forget — each one is a real deduction this calculator lets you account for.
Referral + FBA fees
Amazon takes a referral percentage on every sale plus a fulfilment fee per unit. Together they often run 25–40% of the selling price — the single biggest bite after COGS.
Returns and refunds
Returned units cost you the refunded sale, return shipping and sometimes unsellable stock. Spread across all sales, a high return rate can erase a thin margin entirely.
Advertising
Ad spend does not show on your Amazon payout, so it is easy to ignore — but it is a real per-sale cost. Attributing it per unit is the difference between a profit you think you have and the one you keep.
Storage and the long tail
Monthly and long-term storage fees, prep, and aged inventory quietly drain margin on slow movers. The longer stock sits, the more each eventual sale really costs.
A calculator does one unit. AIAdKing does every SKU, continuously.
Working out one product by hand is useful for a decision; doing it for a whole catalogue, kept current as fees and returns change, is a different job. AIAdKing pulls your fees, costs and settlement data and computes true profit per SKU after referral and FBA fees, returns and ad spend — then flags the SKUs quietly losing money. See the profit-reports feature for how it reconciles settlements automatically.
Want to size the ad-side of the equation too? Use the break-even ACoS calculator to find the ACoS at which advertising starts eating this margin.
