Amazon SP-API: why official APIs matter

AIAdKing uses only the official Amazon Selling Partner API and Amazon Advertising API. No scraping. No headless browsers. No risk to your seller account. Here is what that means.

Short answer: Amazon SP-API is Amazon's only sanctioned interface for third-party seller tools. Tools that scrape Seller Central put your account at risk. AIAdKing uses SP-API and the Amazon Advertising API for every read and write, scoped to OAuth permissions you explicitly grant.

SP-API vs scraping

Some tools save development time by scraping Seller Central with headless browsers. Amazon's seller agreement explicitly forbids this. Accounts caught scraping at scale are suspended. SP-API is the official alternative: OAuth tokens, rate-limited official endpoints, and a documented contract.

Security in detail

  • OAuth-only access. We never see, collect, or store your Amazon password.
  • TLS 1.2+ in transit. AES-256 at rest.
  • Encrypted SP-API token storage. Tokens scoped per region.
  • MFA on all internal admin access.
  • PII retained 30 days maximum post-fulfilment, per Amazon DPP.
  • Written incident response. Notification within 72 hours of any confirmed incident.
